ABOUT CHADWICK HILL
I am a lifelong, born-and-raised Indiana Hoosier. My parents, Reuben and Sheila Hill, instilled in me a strong foundation of love, kindness, and a deep appreciation for our community. They emphasized the importance of hard work, unwavering ethical conduct, and the duty of giving back to one's neighbors, values that I carry into my role as a community engagement advocate in Hamilton County.
My father, Reuben, exemplified public service and dedication; he worked his way through law school while serving as an Indiana State Trooper and supporting my two brothers and me. His journey culminated in a respected career as an Indiana Judge, where he built a lasting reputation for rigorously following the law while ensuring every person who appeared before him felt heard and respected. This commitment to fair and balanced justice is the highest standard I hold for my own judicial experience and decision-making.
My wife, Kati, and I are proud residents of Westfield, where we have raised our three children—JR, Gabrielle, and RJ—right here in Hamilton County. Serving this community where my family has grown provides me with a unique and personal investment in ensuring its continued safety, prosperity, and legal stability.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
I currently serve as the most tenured Magistrate on the Hamilton County bench, bringing 27 years of broad and in-depth legal experience to my candidacy for Indiana Judge. Throughout my career, I have presided over a wide range of cases—including family law, criminal law, probate matters, and civil litigation—gaining valuable insight into the complex legal and human challenges facing our court system. This extensive judicial experience has fully prepared me for the demands of a Superior Court judgeship. I remain steadfast in my commitment to the Constitution and to upholding the rule of law, ensuring that every individual who appears before the court is treated with fairness, dignity, and respect. I also prioritize community engagement, understanding that it is essential for fostering trust and collaboration within Hamilton County.
